Normally I try and welcome all the new people, sort of like a job I volunteered myself for heh, but lately I've had a bunch of personal issues taking up my time. So instead of my normal big welcomes I'm simply going to say a big welcome to ANN for all the new members as of late. I hope to get back into the swing of things with the bigger and fancier greetings once I get some of this personal mess sorted out. But, as I said a big welcome to all the new members we have. Hopefully you're all enjoying your time here at the ANN forums and ANN itself as a whole. Be sure to check out our brand spanking new video section as well! The staffers put a lot of hard work into that.

What? I was under the impression that I did know everything so it would be acceptable to flaunt that in front of everyone else. Just kidding, I can't disagree that many people in my field have an extremely high opinion of themselves. Though the impression you might get of scientists from most media is that we are either insane or completely unethical and probably harboring a burning desire to take over the world (or all three). Which is only partly true. Ok I'm being defensive so I'll quit now. |

I'm not particuarly saying that Scientists don't have a wide span of knowledge, I just think that they can't go ahead and say something like human life happened all by chance. No, frankily no one has the right to fringe upon anothers beliefs. I've seen this many times before, someone will tell me that what I believe in is all one big hoax. Anyways, I don't dislike ALL scientists, just the ones that tend to be ignorant and put themselves above and beyond thier peers and the general public.
