I'm more excited about the Irresponsible Captain Tylor remastered re-release, but Gakuen Alice looks like at least a rental.

And both are sub only. Which means I'll be sticking with fansubs. All sub only DVD's offer is the episodes on a DVD, and I can do that myself for a LOT cheaper with fansubs and DVD+R's
If anime companies want me to purchase their DVD's, they have to offer me something fansubs don't, which is English Audio. Pretty much everything from RightStuf since To Heart (their last dub that I can recall) has been sub only. If Gakuen Alice was dubbed, I probably would have bought it. No chance now.

Not really interested in Toward the Terra, but I'm happy to see Gakuen Alice licensed. And only $50 ($37.50 preorder price) for the whole thing! I've enjoyed the two volumes I've read of the manga, so I'll definitely be getting this.

You mean like the ability to legally own it? (sorry, couldn't pass that up)

I personally love sub only releases. They give me what I want (subs), i dont have to pay as much for a dub track i wont watch, I get it faster than i would with a dub release, and often times in a single set instead of usless single release dvds. I also think alot of anime fans would agree. I dont want to pay more and wait longer for a dub that i wont watch.

Like the ability to provide royalties to the people who made it?

From everything I hear, the cost of dubbing sucks, so I doubt they will dub it. I do believe the last one they dubbed was The Third : The Girl with the blue eye. I believe they do not spend money to dub the titles because they do not appeal to a wide range of anime viewers. I doubt I would of purchased Gakuen Alice, or Emma, even if it was dubbed, it is just not my thing. I did buy The Third. Sci fi action in a post apocalyptic world is cool.

Meh, normally you see internet anime fans saying they only watch the subs. Right Stuf is cutting costs by not making a dub for a non mainstream title. I may just pick up Gakuen Alice, I've been looking at getting into shojo titles.

I just wish they dub To Heart Rember my Merories and To Heart 2, is it going to happen, if yes when?

If they have the licenses to those, they haven't announced it yet. So at this point, no, its not going to happen.

Yeah, THAT I would buy. It was always odd to me why they would only license To Heart and not To Heart: Remember My Memories. To Heart is only half the story and it doesn't make a whole lot of sense without RMM to complete the story.
