Hi there.
I've read "Haou Airen". All of it. I don't know how many Volumes you have got. But here in Germany we have got all Volumes now. I find this manga really strange. I mean...Hakuron is a murder...he rapes her....he is violent. But Kurumi still loves him and would die for him. I think this is really strange. Which normal girl would do such things Kurumi does? |

Same here in Taiwan. Mayu Shinjo even had an autograph session here four years ago. Haven't got a chance to read it though.
That's very typical Sho-Comi styled: one or several dominating male leads, usually handsome, rich, smart, and cunning, with a female lead neither smart nor very pretty. She is basically his (or their) pet, being unable to outwit the lead male(s) or find her own life. Having the rape part is just a bit, em, more salt and pepper than other Sho-Comi titles, but most of them share the same basic story structure. That's also why Sho-Comi enjoys quite a few male readers (myself included, though I don't enjoy rape stories) and hatred from soccer moms (due to its racy scenes) and feminists (due to degrading women). |
