I just saw ep 27, and as sad and depressing as it was, BONES did not let me down. What more there's still a couple more eps left, and it seems Wolf's Rain is going to have a great ending. I'm still crying over Cher dying. That was just so sad. The tv eps ended with an ok, guess what happens ending, but this shows that the world is ending and humanity is coming to an end. The ep was so deep. If it continues going like this, I'm going to be switching the rating I gave Wolf's Rain to masterpiece, cause dammit, it's really good.
Anyone see it yet?

I don't know if the dvd is out yet, but raws of 27 and 28 are out, and a fansub group has subbed 27, but I'm not allowed to give out names/links of such things in the forum. Check out a lot of bittorrent links though. Wolf's Rain IS liscensed, and that includes those new eps, so some of you may be against seeing them now.
Believe me though, it's out.

oh man, this has really taken a turn for the depressing. Cher's death seemed like it was unnessary and thrown in for measure, but it's still gonna shock the hell out of people. i never thought that was going to happen.

Here's hoping these final episodes really stick it to the fans out there who insist that Wolf's Rain "didn't really go anywhere". To me, it's like they heard someone say this phrase and then decided to use it on Wolf's Rain, even though the opposite is true. Something exciting or important happens in every episode, except those recap episodes, which of course don't count.
Anime fans just seem to like crap and dismiss the good stuff with illogical, stupid reasons that don't make any sense.

I'm not sure what it was about Wolf's Rain, but it didn't seem to deliver. Maybe it was the 4 recaps in a row that ruined it for me, but I always felt that something was missing from the show. It had a thick atmosphere, interesting story, Yoko Kanno did the music, nice animation, but for some reason, it just didn't live up to the hype.
Just a side note to this: The second OST is also out for Wolf's Rain. I have only listened to a few song so far, but Yoko Kanno has created an awesome score yet again.
If you can find the fansubs, you should be able to find this also.

"It had a thick atmosphere, interesting story, Yoko Kanno did the music, nice animation, but for some reason, it just didn't live up to the hype."
Here's the problem. You can't qualify your negative opinion. According to you, it had a good story, nice atmosphere, good music and animation...
But you didn't like it, and you can't say why.
This, to me, is irresponsible. If you're going to declare something as bad or sub-par or mediocre, then you should have reasons. Otherwise, you're just spreading negativity about a show you yourself says is a quality series, which makes no sense.
This is what I meant by "anime fans disliking good things for crappy, illogical reasons".

I realize I may not be as articulate as others when it comes to expressing my opinions. I wish I could say what was wrong with it. I really don't know why. I guess sometimes the whole is not equal to the sum of it's parts. Something about the series just did not click with me.

I just finished watching ep 27. Wow, it is one of the most emotional moments in anime. I really enjoyed this episode, I think I will have to go and rewatch this series (minus the recaps of course) and re-evaluate it.
I finished listening to the 2nd OSTeariler, while a few of the songs were too slow for me, overall it was a very relaxing album.

I wonder how dramatic and emotional it's going to get when Cheza dies, because she obviously is going to. *should I cover this up with a spoiler tag? I'm just predicting...* I'm going to have to grab tissues for all the new episodes now.

OMG littlegreenwolf the first spoiler you mentioned for ep27 was soo damn sad. When that incident occured I was like "Oh no".
I believe that this anime has definately given a dark look into humanity as a whole and maybe because the whole world is so depressing not many liked Wolf's Rain as much.
I am one for good endings, but this one is obviously a double edged sword. I do like how realistic Wolf's Rain shows tradgedy in light of it all though.
I can't wait for the next three eps to see how they present it.

Ep 28. Ok, I just saw episode 28, and I DO NOT like where the ending of this show is heading. Toboe was my favorite character. , and it looks like he's dead. First Cher, now Toboe, and Blue's old man. IS EVERYONE GOING TO DIE?! THIS SUCKS! *goes to mourn*
Edit 10 minutes later: Still, even though the show is depressing the hell out of me, it's getting a pretty damn good reaction from me. Something that gets me crying over a character has to be great on some spectacular level.
