I wonder if they will keeps its classic violence. When I watched last year I found ridiculously brutal in nearly every scene

Great news! Loved the first season so I'm really glad we're getting the same staff. Can't wait to see how the story unfolds...

Finally some more news, but when in 2025? Let's just hope we don't have to wait another five years after this for season 3.

I know people are assuming that this sequel is another season but I won't believe it's confirmed. This sequel could be a movie, an OVA, or ONA, or special... etc.

I am so jazzed for this you have no idea. And for once I'll be ahead of the adaptation curve. I loved season 1 so much that I went out and bought all 23 manga volumes and read them. I am very curious as to how the anime staff will handle the insanity. I like a lot of the changes the anime made to the source material so I hope that streak continues.

Fortunately, the second teaser visual that debuted today describes the sequel as a "new anime season."

Here’s hoping the second season is also on Netflix, since that’s the easiest way to ensure the violence isn’t edited.

After taking forever to get an update about a sequel and loving the anime, I ended up bingeing the manga via Viz's app. Super enjoyable and highly recommended. It's a rare series that ends up surprising me with story twists, and Dorohedoro did it frequently since the world is so terribly weird. I'm really looking forward to this new part.

I'm honestly a bit surprised. I figured this would be yet another in the pile of adaptations I've watched that get one great season and then say "okay we're done, now go read the manga!"

The first season was the anime I never expected to be made at all, considering the source material.
This second season is one I had almost lost hope for....
Still probably not enough to finish the story I guess? Hope we don't have to wait another 5 years for a 3rd season.
And after that maybe a Dai Dark anime? One can dream, right?
