Clamp Newtype! My memories of never getting the real X ending came back! It gets ridiculous in retrospective in the Tsubasa arc that has the X cast, the entire world was already destroyed like if Fuuma won.

The cover of Newtype using Char has to be the most hilarious cos in that movie, the guy is at his worst with the whole Axis. Guess Amuro isn't that marketable or something despite being the hero.

This brings me back memories of being a Newtype USA subscriber. I'll always be grateful to this magazine for guiding me through the world of anime and manga when I was a blossoming fan--it was certainly how I got into Gundam SEED, and I still have Angel/Dust and Evangelion: Angelic Days in my manga collection.

The whole Rei VS Asuka war back in the day was always funny to me because if you ever actually read any of these magazines in the 90s like Newtype the answer was clearly Rei going off the popularity polls with otaku.

I love Newtype Magazine and have been collecting it since the issue from June of 1989. I'm only missing less than a dozen of the issues since then.

That's not a cover of a regular issue of Newtype magazine. It's a Newtype 100% Collection book on the movie, Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack, so it makes sense to have him on the cover since his name is part of the titles. Newtype 100% Collection is a series of books published by Newtype Magazine. The books cover art work and information from many different series. I have about half a dozen of them in my collection, including the Char's Counterattack one.

I remember the original American "Newtype" magazine. I'd sometimes read it if I got the chance. If I remember right,it disappeared until recently made a return. I haven't read many of the most recent issues,but I hope to do so,soon.

Newtype USA has not returned, unfortunately, at least not as a physical magazine.
