While I thoroughly question some rankings and the exclusion of Wonderful Pretty Cure!, seeing Natsume’s Book of Friends at the VERY TOP in both rankings makes my heart sing!

Surprised Natsume dethroned DDD. Is it just that good? Wondering if I'm missing out on a gem here.

So it took the Dan Da Dan anime ending the cour on a terrible point to have 3-month cliffhanger to dethrone it from the top spot. Also, Magilumiere in the top 10 let's go!!!!

If one discounts the incomplete series that will finish Winter 2025, this was a pretty meh season for me. Yes, there were series that I enjoyed watching, but nothing new really grabbed me (best was Love Live! Superstar!! Season 3, which too few other people liked to even make it into the rankings).

YOOOOOOOO!!!! Natsume's Book of Friends came out on top!!! One of my all time favorite anime! I love Dan Da Dan as well but I'm just happy to know there are so many fellow fans of Natsume!

What does it mean when a show isn’t even on the list? I came late to Blue Miburo and think it’s a really good one. Not listed at all seems odd.

I love both Dandadan and Natsume Yuujinchou, but I don't understand how these shows can swap positions in a week where neither series brings out a new episode? Are ratings for earlier episodes updated in real time to allow for changes like this?

Not an update, but a sort of re-calculation, just for this end of season listing.
From the text explaining this column, a couple of paragraphs in: ( italics added by me )
'For the last week we're comparing all the final episodes
With the week of December 24-30, the Fall 2024 season is now over.
But many of the series already ended the previous week,
so we're adding an extra "final" week where all the last episodes are ranked against each other. With this we can see which series ended on a strong note and which ones ended more weakly. That means the "final ep." column is a repeat of the last episode from Dec 17-23 or Dec 24-30. And the "prev week change" is the difference in position between the "final ep." column and the penultimate episode. '
I had to re-read that a couple of times, myself, before it made sense to me, but it does. Something done to add some statistical impact.

And the really important bit:
Quote: | With the last episode duplicated in the "final ep." column, it means that the votes for the last episode of each series are counted twice, which intentionally gives a boost to series that ended strongly. This somewhat compensates for the fact that the first episode of each series has more votes, which favors series that started strongly. |
The last episode of Dandadan was by far its lowest-scoring, whereas Natsume stayed in the top 2 that week. Hence, the last-episode bonus pushing the latter over the former.
