I'd say this scene stood the test of time because of the downright incredible VA performance. A shame the anime remained a single-season ad for the light novels though. It was one of those cases where the adaptation was vastly superior to the original. Gave up on the novels after one and a half volumes, despite being quite interested in where the story was going. |
