I’m surprised that Toonami hasn’t been taking more advantage of Aniplex seemingly being easier to deal with than Crunchy.

Weird choice, but it does fit Toonami. I mean Mashle's a good show, but I feel like there had to be something better they could have picked.

Blue Exorcist is a real weird choice since S1 derailed things so hard. You practically need a text guide after S1 telling you to disregard everything after the final fight in the trailing camp started. Like, the anime went out of its way to break continuity with the manga, made up all its own lore, and then wrote its own ending to the series, then S2 has to try and get the series back on the manga's rails.

I remember watching a bit of Blue Exorcist when it last aired a decade ago. I'm glad they're starting from the beginning - hopefully it's not a situation where they're trapped with just season 1.

Toonami still is kind of shonen-ish
But I'm actually surprised I hadn't heard them license new episodes of my hero academia.
