I remember a series from a few years ago that not only delt with fishing but also showed the fish being gutted and cleaned, talk about GROSS!

This looks neat. Will the show's animation mix hand-drawn/CGI/live footage too?
Reminds me of one of my FAVORITE shows in recent years, Tsuritama, which mixes slice of life fishing and zany teen melodrama comedy/sci-fi/fantasy. Plus, it presents one character's social anxiety in a beautiful way. Possibly Hōkago Teibō Nisshi (Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater) or Slow Loop? Both the above shows achieve the miracle of making people fishing interesting to watch. Wonder if Negative Positive Angler can live up to that? It certainly will not be as crazy-weird-ridiculous as Sora to Umi no Aida (Between the Sky and Sea). |
