Seeing Billy without his Bandana and the addition of glasses is…..weird.

Billy was featured in a promotional artwork for City of the Wolves, though he and Kain were framed in shadow while Rock was clearly visible, still, it's interesting that he's the first character from the original Fatal Fury, not counting Terry since he was in the original Mark of the Wolves, who got a reveal trailer for his appearance in City of the Wolves.
I've seen people complaning about his new look and I can understand it, I wish they could have kept his bandana, it was one his most distinguishing features, though perhaps like Terry ditching his hat in MotW, they did it in order to show that a lot of has time passed, and honestly, I think Billy has had more design changes than any other FF/KoF character, aside from Athena Asamiya But now with Billy's, and possibly Andy, Joe and Mai, apperance in CotW, I hope that some other Fatal Fury characters can come back as well, I'd love to see Duck King, Bob Wilson, Rick Strowd and Li Xiangfei again. |

I've seen it pointed out that Billy's new look seems to be inspired by 00s era punk bands, similar to how BIlly's old look from the Real Bout games (which, in turn, would be the basis for most of his KOF appearances) was based on 90s era punk bands.
Since City of the Wolves is a sequel to Mark of the Wolves, which takes place sometime around 2005 or so (all that's ever been confirmed is that MotW takes place 10 years after Geese's death in Real Bout 1, which itself took place six months after Fatal Fury 3, which itself took place in 1995), that would show some great attention to detail from SNK in updating Billy's look to match the time frame that City of the Wolves takes place in. |
