Pft. That title. Whatever.
I wish that they would give us Banner of the Stars 3 and a release date for Toward the Terra. |

You know when your fandom is ungrateful and killing your industry when:
The first post in a new licence thread is "This show sucks! Give me ____ or _____" But seriously, good for Bandai! They need a comedy show right now. |

Honestly? Bandai needing comedy? last i checked Lucky Star was comedy, this is how we can tell that some fans just don't know what their talking about and should stop bashing their fellows....... Also Banner 3 was great, i want a legit version myself, also Toward Terra is already licensed, is it so much to want a release date? That shows that the fan wants the legit versions. |

Bandai should state that they got Both seasons of Gundam 00 and call it a win...
Nothing wrong with some fan-servicy comedy |

Besides, these (Banner of the Stars and Toward the Terra) are the sci-fi titles imo and they have no announcements so far. That announcement seemed like it was putting Rocket Girls in the same category as Planetes which made me say "Whatever".
Code Geass R2 was rumored to have been announced at Anime Boston. If it was true, then that title should have gotten an article faster than Rocket Girls imo. |

Well I'm Happy now . However I'm not really sure if 'Rocket Girls' is truly Sci-Fi since other then using teenage girls as astronauts there is a lot more hard Science the fanciful fiction in the series.

Toward the Terra was announced awhile back- as mentioned on this thread, Bandai Entertainment has licensed it. I imagine we'll see a release date for it before we get one for Rocket Girls..... it takes awhile to dub stuff, and to schedule things with retailers. Anyhoo, Rocket Girls looks cute 12 episodes makes things nice and short. Bandai Ent has release all of Crest/Banner of the Stars, with the exception of a followup OVA. Time will tell (and continued sales of the boxsets) if we'll get more..... |

No set date yet according to the con report. Time will tell... Don't give me that dribble. Banner 3 puts one part of the story to an end and it's been 3 years since it was released in R2. If Bandai Ent. can't get off their butts and bring over the final volume then I hope that someone else does. Last edited by hikaru004 on Sat Mar 22, 2008 1:49 pm; edited 2 times in total |

That's a big fat QFT. While I don't agree with the "bandai needs comedy" part since they have some good series right now, I still think of how horrid it is to have someone just say "Whatever" to a brand new title like that. |

That is, if they actually plan on doing a dub for this show. After hearing Bandai's decision to sell sola as a sub-only release, my general prospects about expecting a guaranteed dub release seems to be dwindling. And while Rocket Girls was a fun show to watch, it wasn't necessarily something that was a 'hit' among the audience in Japan, or to the people who downloaded it prior to the news. But regardless of that, my fingers are still crossed for this series to have a dub included. |

sola was licensed by Bandai Visual, not Bandai Entertainment, who do own the rights to Rocket Girls. So the chances of a dub are pretty high. Just hope it's not a repeat of Stratos 4's dub, but I guess that was a long time ago... |

Rocket Girls has been licensed by Bandai Entertainment. sola is licensed by Bandai Visual USA. Two different companies, with different market strategies aimed at different audiences. |
