I have two things to ask:
First, does anyone know of an anime that is relatively unknown, yet you thought was pretty good?
Secondly, does anyone have any info on BGC Tokyo 2041 and/or Parasite Dolls. I'm a big fan of the series but after news of them last year they've seemed to have dropped off the map. I'm really looking forword to them. Thanks.

I'm not really sure what is known and unknown in terms of anime. But I guess Ping Pong Club and Bastard!!. Not too many people (besides the threads here) that I talk to know anything, or even heard of these two shows.

Ping Pong Club came in under the radar for most people, but it's one of those series that you either love or hate, it seems. I thought it was even more offensive than South Park, but I love that sort of humor, so it doesn't bother me much....
Now and Then, Here and There also seems pretty well unrepresented in general. It's also a show that just about everyone says is good, but it's not a show that most people would want to watch very often.... very violent, very brutal. Quite disturbing.

I dunno..... I never hear anyone talking about K.O. Beast. Has anybody ever heard of it/seen it? I thought it was good. It seems to me that fans of that show don't occur that often... but I dunno, maybe thats just me....

I would say "Jungle Wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu" is a very good anime that more people need to know about. This anime has become a favorite of mine and i am always trying to get more people into it.

I remember hearing something about a Bubblegum Crisis 2041 series a few years back, but nothing since then, it is possible the idea was scrapped, for any number of reasons.

As far as Bubble Gum Crisis. I own Tokyo 2040, and I think it's great (Been out for a while, too). But you said Tokyo 2041, so I'm assuming you mean a continuation of the 2040 series? If so, I've never even heard of it. Which is surprising, because I'm a big BGC fan. I'd like to hear more about this too, if anyone knows.
And I'll second Gnollman's recomendation of Now and Then, Here and There. It's a quality show, and not extremely well known (beyond obvious circles like this forum). Although, as previously stated, you might not exactly "enjoy" watching it. It's got some dark, weighty themes. I might as well tell you its got some child abuse, so if you're put off by that kind of thing (very understandable), you may consider skipping past NaTHaT.

Yeah, check it out in the Encyclopedia...Bubblegum Crisis 2041. I think it has been forgotten because there hasn't been any new stuff on it since 2002.

Since the encyclopedia says that ADV has it licensed, maybe we could email them and see if they know anything about it. Just a thought.

All releases from Right Stuf come under the radar. They don't advertise anything. I thought Boogiepop was one of the best anime of all time. I loved Kare Kano as well. KO Beast is good dorky fun as well.

I will also agree with Now and Then.
I'm not sure how well it went over in the past but I found Nadia TV to be really interesting and well written, even if it is aimed at a younger audience.

I would say Kodomo No Omocha, Naruto, and One Piece....
I'm not sure if they are popular or not but I am into them or now.
