Discotek:Toho what do you have from the vault and can we have it for a reasonable price?
In all seriousness this is great news.

I'd been hoping and praying that something would happen and the masters would be saved.

The Discotek guys have already admitted that they've essentially gotten everything they could from Tokyo Lab by the time the initial news of its closure came out. At this point, it's stuff that's already currently licensed but has simply never been scanned into HD yet (which I'm sure is a more than decent amount of stuff, as it is) or it's stuff that's pretty much stuck in licensing hell for a variety of reasons, like companies going out of business & leaving the rights statuses unknown.
Or it's stuff that, quite simply, no one will ever license to start with, like that Golgo 13 motion comic movie from the 70s that "miraculously" got found recently.

Here's hoping the film reels don't rot away before entering public domain. Well, the ethical thing to do would be for Toho Archive to secretly scan all the films as soon as possible, but I'm... not expecting that to happen. Still, their outright destruction being avoided is already a win.

I don't think they even have enough man power to release all of it. They need to just give it away to the souls out there who would be willing to take on the task.
