One N' Only Live Report - A Fiesta Packed with Latin Flavor: The Last Performance of the Tour 'One N' Swag 2024 ¿Fiesta?' Full of Love and Gratitude
Boasting viral music video and dance clips on platforms such TikTok, having 5.8 million followers – the highest for a male artist in Japan – and successfully performing internationally in places like Brazil and Thailand, six-member Japanese dance and vocal group ONE N' ONLY held the last performance of their nationwide tour, “ONE N' SWAG 2024 ¿Fiesta?”, on January 18 at the Tokyo Garden Theater. The tour stopped at six, sold out venues from September 2024, marking the largest tour ever for ONE N' ONLY. Ahead of their May performance at the historic Nippon Budokan, the group fired up the audience on a stage brimming with the lively “fiesta” vibe reflected in the Spanish title of the tour. ONE N' ONLY showcased its unique style of music, combining “J-pop” and “Latin Music” to create “Jatin pop” to SWAG (the name of ONE N' ONLY'S fans).
The show opened with “Fiesta,” the title track from ONE N' ONLY's third EP, released in October 2024. The six members dressed in frilly costumes fitting for a carnival and burst onto the stage backed by the Latin-tinged tune. They conveyed a message of encouragement while singing in English, Portuguese and Japanese.
Group leader HAYATO hyped the audience up, saying “Let's have the ultimate fiesta tonight!” before performing the Brazilian funk track “DOMINO,” mesmerizing SWAG with their bold steps and dance formations. The reggae track “EVOL,” which solidified ONE N' ONLY's Latin-inspired style, turned the venue into a scorching party. These three signature Latin songs - “EVOL” in 2023, “DOMINO” in 2024, and the latest track “Fiesta” – had fans erupting with joy from the very beginning.
Following a Latin-arranged version of “YOUNG BLOOD,” the rock tune “OPEN” intensified the energy with raw vocals and a fierce guitar sound. During “Set a Fire,” ONE N' ONLY descended to the arena area, interacting closely with fans.
With visuals evoking a jungle backdrop, a wild dance break unfolded backed by a primal track. HAYATO and EIKU introduced a new rap song, “Dropped,” crafted to complement the concept of the tour “¿Fiesta?” KENSHIN and NAOYA joined for a sensual performance of “Black Hole,” and TETTA's gospel-like vocals on “Bla Bla Bla” proved a breathtaking highlight. Following that came a big-band jazz version of “TALKIN'” which brought a glamorous shift to the evening. During this performance, members challenged themselves to present their existing songs in a different way by recreating them into unit or solo arrangements. With the six members wearing white suits, they delivered the iconic love song, “My Love,” with purity and sincerity.
During the MC segment, the members reflected on the significance of performing at a venue they had long dreamed of playing in. TETTA described the view as “It's so unreal like singing in outer space,” while encouraging SWAG to make the venue shake with excitement.
In the performance of the new amapiano song from their latest EP, “Too Much,” the members performed moves choreographed by HAYATO and EIKU. The following song, “R.U.S.H.,” is a EDM tune from their newest EP and was performed for the first time on this day. The track highlighted the group's artistic growth, with HAYATO contributing to the lyrics and composition of the rap sections.
On “FOCUS,” a song expressing intense love, TETTA and EIKU's high-tone vocals amplified the sense of frustration and drew the audience into the song's world. “We'll rise again,” expressing how ONE N' ONLY stands up again and again to face their dreams, conveyed their determination and positive attitude towards their aspirations as they look ahead to their incoming milestone, a pair of shows at Nippon Budokan in May this year.
After delivering “Video Chat,” “What's your Favorite,” and “Call me,” all familiar TikTok numbers, the group transitioned into a medley featuring tracks like “Free Hug” and “Nice Guy” that elicited enthusiastic audience participation. They then performed “HOLIDAY” and moved from day to night with “Departure,” and the hip-hop song “Hook Up” closed the medley on an explosive note. ONE N' ONLY explored a variety of music genres from pop tunes to hard hip-hop, embodying the festival-like energy of the show. This magnificent medley, which also incorporated orchestration, expressed the audience's will to move forward to dreams and goals.
The finale featured the debut of “Burn it out,” a rock-rap hybrid that thrilled the venue with its distorted guitar riffs. The main set concluded with “Fight or Die,” the theme song for TETTA's film, delivering a grand and emotional closer.
The encore opened with “Freaking Happy” accompanied with behind-the-scenes footage and ended with a reprise of “Fiesta.” Reflecting on the long tour, “ONE N' SWAG 2024 ¿Fiesta?,” each member spoke about their feelings regarding the tour.
NAOYA reflected on the concerts, saying “With each performance, both we and our fans have grown together, and the sense of unity was incredible. This connection ensures that our upcoming spring tour will be nothing short of amazing. Personally, I feel like I've broken through one of my shells on this tour.” EIKU also shared his thoughts on the performance. “It felt like zero seconds had passed and it was that intense!” Looking ahead to the spring tour starting in April, he expressed his determination, “We'll work hard to level up and show you how much we've grown.”
For KENSHIN, who juggled filming for a lead role in a drama while touring, the past few months were a whirlwind. “These three or four months have been intense,” but he also emphasized the impact of the day's performance: “The sight of this packed Tokyo Garden Theater that you all showed us, I'll never forget it. We performed every single second today with a deep desire to give back to everyone. Let's continue to create these joyful moments together.” TETTA added, “I'll never forget the energy from everyone and this view.” With excitement for the upcoming tour, he urged, “We want to see even better views, so to everyone here, make sure to come to the spring tour and Nippon Budokan! Mark your calendars!”
The Tokyo Garden Theater is a venue that ONE N' ONLY has performed at multiple times for events. REI revealed a memory. “When we performed here for “EBiDAN THE LIVE, HAYATO fired us up in the huddle, saying 'This is a warming up for our own concert!'” Now that their dreams had come true, even REI, who usually feels nervous when the curtain rises, was buzzing with excitement: “I was just so thrilled. It reminded me of the incredible power of everyone's support and made me realize how much more I need to push myself. We're going to keep growing bigger and bigger. I love every single one of you!”
HAYATO also reflected on the significance of the Tokyo Garden Theater as a milestone stage: “Every time we performed here for events, we'd tell ourselves 'We're going to come back for a solo show.' I've been waiting so long for this view, and it exceeded all expectations. The energy was unreal, and it got us so fired up that this show was hundreds of times more exciting than usual!” Hayato also opened about challenges they faced in their journey so far, mentioning that things started to look up after the 47-prefecture tour in 2023.
“By performing so many live shows, we've grown stronger in our desire to connect with everyone, to create shows where we look each other in the eye and really engage. We want to be artists who give a positive push and deliver energy that can help people forget their struggles, even if it's just during our shows. If something's weighing on your mind, think of us and let it all go. That's the kind of artist we want to be. This tour has made us realize again how much more we want to grow and be meaningful to all of you.” HAYATO added, “That said, we're going to keep chasing our dreams. We're so passionate – It feels like endless youth for all of us. We want to keep this fire burning, make the spring tour and Nippon Budokan shows incredible, and leave everyone excited for what's to come. Please look forward to the spring tour!”
ONE N' ONLY has been expanding their activities beyond music, with individual members actively involved in acting roles. In February and March, the group's lead film, BATTLE KING!! Map of The Mind - Prelude ・ Postlude -, will also be released. As artists and entertainers, they continue to explore new opportunities across various fields. In parting, HAYATO concluded, “It feels like we've discovered a new style for ONE N' ONLY's live shows. Thank you for your continued support, and please cheer us on in 2025 and beyond!”
Starting in April, their spring tour will start, spanning four cities with ten performances, culminating in two final shows at the iconic Nippon Budokan on May 9 and 10. ONE N' ONLY is steadily moving forward, one step at a time.
