I agree. Way better than Grunge. This one felt more like Alternative the way the female characters look.

I initially mistaken the long haired girl with the main protagonist as somebody else and not Haruko. I already liking this way more than Grunge visually but it's a shame this is going to be another three episodes, felt too short to me.

Looks like the protagonist from Alternative Kana is in this as an adult. About time we have some connection between these seasons.

The one thing I've been critical of the sequels is their lack of continuity. Sure, there's Haruko and her many aliases, but that doesn't tell me much. This seems promising however.

it's wishful thinking on my part and probably the least favorite idea among people but if there gonna keep bringing back FLCL. i wish they brought Naota Back, Feels like he has one last story to tell or unfinished business between him and Haruko..

It looks better than the other stuff made after the original, Grunge was a visual crime against nature, but still how far are going tot take this.

Are season 6 & 7 are going to be 1 episode each?
This looks better than the mess that is Grunge, too bad all the other iterations have left a bad taste in my mouth. Will the 5th time be the charm?

If that woman is Kana, I mean (not knowing how Grundge ends) she was the only protagonist to end on a some what positive relationship with Haruka, so there goes that. Though Haruka is someone you can get along with in short spurts, but you live your whole life with her eventually she is going to do something to get on your nerves.

Now we just need Naota to appear. I would love it if OG FLCU, Alternative, and Shoegaze are connected and part of the same universe. You have the odd number seasons connected, and the even numbered seasons are its own thing.

Personally,I don't mind them doing "FLCL" for so many years now. It wouldn't surprise me if one day,we get an "FLCL" show set in America. I admit it may be a long shot,but since this anime's long been popular here,so something like that may not be too far off. The odds of something like that happening are kinda remote but you never know. It may happen. Wait and see,my friends. Wait and see.

I mentioned this in the Grunge ep. 1 thread, but I'm still not holding out much hope on this being good in any way.
It at least looks better visually, but that's not saying much given Progressive and Alternative were both a step down from the OG series (and most of I.G's titles in general) already.
