Surreal to see this happening. Even if it was not my favorite era, glad that Cosmic Era is going to get a proper wrap-up. It's great to see the cast of characters back and working together in a new context. I liked Shinn and it'd be good to see him get a better finale. My biggest concern is if there will be a good villain in this. Durandal was Treize-level good in Destiny, despite the uneven pacing and production values in the back end of Destiny. Seems like the Destiny Plan is still in play in this? Is Toyah Talia's child? That was a thread that was jammed into Destiny that didn't get a good resolution. Interesting choice to use so much lipstick on the female designs...I don't remember that being a thing in Cosmic Era. Bringing back Destroy Gundam has me concerned about whether this thing will have enough iconography of its own. Lots of scattered thoughts on this, but looking forward to seeing how this all goes.
EDIT: I remember back in the day somehow Stella was going to play into the plot of the SEED movie. I'm wondering if that is still in play and how.
It's interesting because Hirai's designs in Fafner and Majestic Prince don't come across quite as stilted and model-like visually as they generally do in Cosmic Era works. |

Interesting Shindo's getting recasted despite being able and willing to reprise Cagalli in the videogames and the like, starting with Battle Destiny and having new lines as recent as Cross Rays. This is pretty much confirming or adding that final stretch of insanity needed to put that theory to rest one way or another.
CE as a whole needs one of those deep dives examining everybit of the the behind the scenes and the like since there's still so many decisions that are just plain "Huh?" like Red Frame showing up in OP1 of the original broadcast, the entirety of Destiny, the decision to add a ReHome cameo in the HD Remaster, etc. |

There's Taniguchi's debut Infinite Ryvius from 1999 which had both Hisashi Hirai and even a character voiced by Hoshi who already seemed like the first Kira but with a more negative personality. Then again, Michael from Gun X Sword might be the most insane character voiced by Hoshi. |

If spoiler[FFVII Rebirth] releases in January, it will certainly be an interesting month for them.
Fun to you. Boring to see you or anyone else repeat the same thing for 2 decades, especially acting as if Hirai hasn't been working this past decade to prompt you to say that. Just because Fafner, which had its latest release early this year and has been yearly from 2019 to 2021, hasn't been released outside of Japan after Exodus in 2015 doesn't negate the fact that a whole new generation of Japanese people came into contact with with his designs from 2019 to January 2023, which makes what you said pointless to bring up as it already happened. Find new material... or rather level up from being a casual. Not once have I been confused by Hirai's designs, so the issue is with you all. |

That's a whole lot of words for basically nothing. Was pretty obviously talking about an audience with little to no experience with mecha and are just now seeing SEED designs coming off of WfM. Feel free to keep up the persecution complex though, that is also funny. |

Well at least getting the band back together for seed freedom gundam seed movie.
Yet one other question when dub version arrive are we getting original english dub cast too?! Due it's meaningful since movie come 2024 also same year of series original english dub version. So really wish & going all in try ask to bring them back. |

Any new dub would follow the new casting. Sunrise pushed for a redub anyway. So no, there is no hoping for the original cast to return for this.

The popular theory is that there was bad blood between Shindo and the late Morisawa, which is why Cagalli got shafted in the latter part of Destiny. So if she personally refused to work with that staff again, it lends credence to that theory. So, Lacus says in the trailer they have to stop Kira. Did the plot armor go to his head and now he wants to conquer the world? |
