Neat. Was a fan of Kyokai Senki and the mecha designs. Even picked up a few kits. Looking forward to this.

I hope Obari can save this because the original was the most boring mecha anime I've seen since Argevollen. With the writer staying I'll keep my expectations low though.

Sigh. The guy's been getting on in age. It's weird how they still have to rely on him to spice up their franchises.

I dropped the original after the first cour because it was a fairly by-the-numbers story that quickly dropped its focus on what could have been a fairly interesting world with superpowers having divided up Japan in a parallel to many European colonization efforts in history, in favor of focusing on pursuing the rogue AI. I can sympathize with not wanting to make something full of unfortunate implications, but the end result was fairly bland and uninspiring. At least it didn't actively hate the mecha genre, like say, gen:Lock.
If they are going to make more with the world, hopefully, Obari designs and new writing can make something that actually uses the world and creates something worth watching.

Unfortunately, there's a distinct lack of new robot designers who have a design that is uniquely theirs.

This never seemed particularly popular, though I did like some of the Mecha designs I saw, but this new project could be pretty cool with Obari at the helm.

not even Obrai can save it because Kimura isn't suited for writing originals he ruined stake leading stars despite having the code geass director just saying so it won't be any better.

The amount of unsold model kits for the last show has caused legitimate problems with their distribution chain, so I'm not surprised that they're desperate to try to drum up enough interest with a new show to maybe offload them.

I heard it was bad but man that should tell you that there was no hype behind this show and I wish they could've done more as the second half was just a slog to watch. Hopefully, this new show can do better but I don't expect much more at this point.
