Yeah, but... why...
I mean, I love this manga (and even more so the anime), but it's entire shtick is being shamelessly, proudly trash - crude, bizarre, equal opportunity offensive, and pushing the envelope as far as possible. The manga only works because it's so removed from real life, the anime only works because of the directing by Mizushima Tsutomu and the amazing voice cast clearly having tons of fun, I can't imagine it not being unintentionally cringe (as opposed to intentionally like in the manga/anime) and actually offensive once real people are involved, even if they're actors. Well, either that, or it will need to be sanitized to the point where it's not Azazel-san anymore. Not to mention that something like this getting adapted into the usual "anime/manga stage play" with pretty boys and whatnot, considering the casting for Akutabe, is such a weird idea... then again, they made a live action TV drama from Prison School so what do I even know. (The Prison School TV drama was, of course, predictably terrible.) |

This is such a weird choice, both in terms of franchise chosen and the time they've decided to do it... But I would be interested in seeing it. The puppets would be fun.

Whatever happened to it being called "You're Being Summoned, Azazel"? [sigh] Frickin' alternate title localizations...

No one gonna mention that Kawamoto "Buuuuurning!!!!" Naru is gonna be directing and writing the script? LoL. Has he taken a break from voice acting to work more on the production side?
I'm trying to imagine Beezlebub with Okiayu or Takahashi's voices... I'm sure they'll do fine, but I'm not really seeing it atm. Curious what the puppets will be like too. Interesting that the seiyuu will also be operating them. It'll be a unique experience for everyone involved, for sure. |

Ask the copyright holders whatever happened to it being called "They're Calling For You Mr. Azazel" instead. That is the original English title, and whoever did the English localization of the anime changed it to "You're Being Summoned, Azazel-san". |
