I'm guessing this was some stunt to try to get noticed. Some streamers will do stuff that gets them temporarily banned so people will come to see what that "edgy/controversial" streamer might do next.

Never heard of them but apparently doing edgy things like this is part of the gimmick for the vtuber group. They can apologize all they want but they're still at the mercy of both Youtube and Nintendo.

That's just plain hilarious, but Youtube probably wasn't the right streaming platform for the stunt, Susie's sensitive to even the sun rotating in the wrong direction you know.

This is confusing, like I'm not exactly in the loop, but I'm pretty sure any company that was willing to cooperate with you before won't be now, and it ain't the viewers' fault.

Edit: Unless this is them trying to pull a DSP and blame the "detractors" for going after their sponsors, in which case, this is hilarious.

No idea what they mean there. Youtube obviously doesn't condone this. Nintendo is more comfortable with streaming its games, as in it basically chooses not to do anything even when it thinks it can, but something like this could very well mean that they get a claim against any future Nintendo streams. I have no idea if this group had any sponsors, but a stunt like this is a pretty easy reason for a sponsor to back out.

Nevertheless, Shigure Mito was unrepentant, tweeting: .......

Said tweet has been deleted, apparently.

This is no doubt intentional, and the risk might have fully been expected, calculated, and.... desired? Wink

Update: Shigure Mito deleted the above tweet on Wednesday and wrote the following apology: "I apologize for my actions against public decency in my October 8 stream and my inflammatory tweets. And I deeply apologize for the inconvenience I have caused to the various people involved. I have also deleted the tweets in question."

If we could just get rid of all vTubers the world would be a much better place.

I'm pretty sure I know some regular live-action streamers that would do this kind of stunt, I've seen someone have sex on a twitch stream before

Now, they'll just have to go back to regular old tentacle hentai and leave mixing the genres to the expervs. Um, experts.

I think they meant the company who made those JAV. One of the JAV playing was starred by one of them.

Forgive my cynicism, but Mito's previous tweets give me an impression that they're.... less than sincere with their apology.

No kidding. It took deliberate effort to do this, as opposed to an accident. They went into it publicly announcing that the point was to see if they would get banned. When that ban does happen, the first response is to say they don't care.

That all says to me that it should be a perma-ban. From some other coverage of it, it sounds like others involved questioned why the main organizer used his main channel to do it since they expected that Youtube might just terminate the channel.

Shigure Mito in the article is the wrong person.
The correct name is sigure (@sigure13178 on Twitter).
