Seems oddly similar to My Senpai is Annoying which I absolutely loved so I'll check this out too.

This series finished 11th in the Next Manga Award (Tsugi ni Kuru) in 2020 in the web category. It's amazing that that award has a couple of series from that year alone that have gotten an anime adaptation.

5. Shikimori's not Just a Cutie
8. My Happy Marriage
9. Loving Yamada at Lv999!
11. This
12. Romantic Killer
18. The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today
19. Life with an Ordinary Guy who Reincarnated Into a Total Fantasy Knockout

Imagine if this award came out around the time Vagabond (not that it needs an anime) started serialization.

Nah, the two are quite distinct. If you want a story that's VERY similar to this(Small Senior), it would be Chicchai Senpai ga Kawaisugiru. (My Short Senpai Is Way Too Cute).

BOTH have quite similar style and art. BOTH are similar comedy. BOTH have a short fmc who often gets mistaken for a kid. Both are about office workers. BOTH have TWO sequels, one about dating, the other about living together. Perhaps one inspired the other? (Short Senpai predates Small Senior by two years).

If there's one difference that comes to mind, well, Short Senpai has smaller breasts. Smile

So "small office lady" is officially a sub genre now? It's crazy how anime can take any premise and make something with it but at the same time seems incredibly risk averse and will just constantly redo the same story even if it was just a minor success.

I too was immediately reminded of My Senpai is Annoying!, only it's reversed to where the male lead is more explicit in his feelings and the female lead has bigger boobs.

I'll totally check this out though!

Just read a few chapters.

Fun, and wholesome, but low effort romcom.


Female MC is probably basically oppai loli, I mean, the cutest oneesan ever made.

This was a fun lightweight manga, should make for a nice 'relax before bed' anime.
I will probably watch it.
