That is not a furry, its a kemonomimi.

Its literally just a normal girl + fox ears and tails. If it was a furry, then its should be an anthropomorphized fox.

So its another case of USA side of prioritizing their own choice of words over JP side without considering the context respectfully?

I guess the "translation dilemma" is not going anywhere any time soon in this industry.
