Is the manga currently at a climax or...? Maybe if the actual mangaka is involved they've figured out the ending.

Yes, manga is in final arc. Great that it will be a full adaptation! Amazing!

Mashle is in its final arc. ANN posted an article on the announcement of that back in May. So, this being a "Complete" adaptation is exciting as they'll be building off the momentum of the series coming to its conclusion to allow fans to hype up the anime in ways that are honestly more like series like Mushoku Tensei than something like My Hero Academia, or even this past season's Spy x Family.

I could see them maybe doing two cours in 2023 and then another one or two cours once the series ends, depending on how much they have left once it's over. Then again if it ends this year then they might just do it all in one run

Haven't check this out before, but it seems well received. Nice to know from the start that it will be a complete adaptation. Hopefully it gets the episode count it needs =)
