Man, the poor author's health must be really bad to keep taking hiatus, It's insane that the anime managed to get a somewhat proper finale.

I only just started reading the manga towards the end of the anime's run after collecting the English volumes, but apparently the release schedule has been a bit sporadic as of late leading up to this announcement. This seems to be a very much needed break, so I just hope the author is doing well and/or gets the rest they need.

It's a good thing you started when you did, because the paperback versions of volumes 1-3 have now apparently fallen out of print.

Wait, seriously?! I'd been putting off collecting the series because I just wasn't ready for another emotional rollercoaster after Pandora Hearts. It looks like rightstuf is still expecting more, so I guess I'll just place an order and cross my fingers that they do indeed get more eventually (even if it takes a while, like those volumes of Natsume's Book of Friends I ordered last year and am still waiting on).
I hope the author is doing okay, and that she gets some well deserved rest.

Can't say I surprise. Jun Mochizuki must have worked herself into exhaustion over the last big arc and to make sure that that the manga had something that could serve as a ending for the anime. She's more than deserves a long and well-earned rest.

She's gone on hiatus a few times with Vanitas I believe. There was a hiatus on 2020 due to covid safety concerns. I hope her health is okay- she's honestly a powerhouse of an author.
