Next to "The Batman".

Wow, that's pretty cool.

It's really exciting to see anime movies killing it at the box office. It's such a recent thing to even be able to see them at the movies and now they are competing with and even surpassing a lot of Hollywood blockbusters. With movie theaters struggling to keep their doors open and the void that COVID left in film I hope they embrace anime even more and give other films even wider releases.

I'd like to see the JJK and Demon Slayer type films start getting a day and date release with Japan, as least a sub version

Simultaneous releases i dont think will happen for a while because it can lose the studios a lot of money if an amime movie underperforms worldwide. Sao progressive was the only film they sort of made an except with like a month window between and that is largely due to fact that sao is ine of aniplex's biggest prooerties and ordinal scale did well.
The fgo movies underperformed so that was scrapped entirely for a western theatre release.

Well, with some caveats, Detective Conan has had simultaneous releases even for moderately performing markets. But that franchise's reception outside of North America is quite different.
