I wish the "Dog Days" anime trilogy got an official Eng. dub.

Also a 4th season would be nice. I like to see how Extreme Hearts fares, seeing how Dog Days was so good especially Dog Days'. |

Looks like an interesting mix of CGDCT and sports anime.

CGDCT is always nice so I'm sure one from Tsuzuki will be fun, but honestly I'd rather just have them continue Nanoha. Nanoha Force got axed (this was literally 100% inevitable considering the main character pretty much nobody wanted) so just let them make another Nanoha sequel that properly takes its place.

MC's name is Hiyori, not Hiwa, by the way! (You can see it in English on Saki's poster, and it also says it in English on the anime website).
Based on the website, Junka is actually "Sumika". Anyway, considering it's "hyper sports" (and an idol girl!) this show will need an amazing budget and animation team to pull it off. |

Betting all the girls will "subtext" relationships.
No one will kiss, say "I love you", or anything of the sort. Instead they will "raise" a kid or "share a bed". Or it might turn into a Final Fantasy game like last time. |

Of the creative voices in anime who become prominent and recognizable, I think most come from the animation/directing end, and it's somewhat less common for them to come from the writing end -- Mari Okada, Keiko Nobumoto, a few who come from video games like Jun Maeda, Kazutaka Kodaka, or Gen Urobuchi.
Of those, Masaki Tsuzuki might just be the weirdest. |

Junji Nishimura is directing, not Nishihara. Nishimura and Tsuzuki have previously worked together on Dog Days and Vivid Strike in similar roles so this should be a return to form.

Strikers also flopped so what would a sequel in that time space feel like Vivid's anime did not adapt the rest of the manga ether, so they are kinda stuck. That and reconning Force would be odd and sort of a backhand to its maker. |

I liked Nanoha but can we have a girls' sports anime that isn't super moe or has some sort of idol tie in?

No kidding. It's actually kind of head-scratching they didn't announce what studio is doing this (it feels like something Seven Arcs would work on).
Let's pray the upcoming Bandai Namco Pictures' Birdie Wing - Golf Girls doesn't suck this spring. |

I would like any of those options. I'd also like blurays for both the nanoha series as well as Dog Days. I'll be sure to watch Extreme Hearts, I generally love the work of Masaki Tsuzuki, so this will probably one of my priority shows of the summer. |
