I see the reason for an alternate but Makoto and Sayaka? Guess Kodaka wants to forget about Lerche's End of Hope's Peak Academy anime or something. Then again in the alternate mode from V3 Sayaka starts hitting on Makoto in their common high school life. Then again, I remember reading the first Danganronpa manga and Kyoko was pretty much a tsundere to Makoto.
In regards to explore more characters, I'm kinda interested in the "liars" Nagito and Kokichi as they sure tend to be inpredictable.

Any reason to get the collection compared to PS4 versions? I heard that they're using the Anniversary Edition versions, but not sure if that's worth it.
Thanks

Wait, are you saying that Makoto x Sayaka is a sailing ship in this game? Or that Sayaka just likes Makoto since she isnt RIP? A certain Kirigiri fan may not be happy otherwise.

The description makes it sound similar to the optional conversations to raise relationship levels the games already had. Most of those in the first game already had something shippy between Makoto and whichever girl (and some of the guys for that matter).

I've already played all three games and don't really have much interest in S (I've always preferred the mystery side to the slice of life side of the series) so this is probably gonna be a pass for me unless S goes on sale for a good price.

I'd be interested in knowing the exact differences between the board game/Despair dungeon in v3 and S. I was having a lot of fun with it when v3 came out, but between Persona 5 and FFXV I couldn't ever get back to it, so I thought getting this game for Switch would be the perfect opportunity... but it sounds like maybe I should just play S instead? But I'm not really interested in swimsuit fanservice... Are the character interactions in v3 vs S mostly the same or completely different?
Edit: From what I can gather online, it sounds like it's everything from v3 and a lot more. But I assume I'll have to wait till the game is out and more people play it to know for sure.

I’m guessing this must be some sort of mistake? I don’t think 200 Danganronpa characters exist, even including background characters. The marketing for the game says 60 characters and even that was more than I would have expected.
