Season 1 aired on TV Asahi, MBS, BS Nittele, AT-X, and J:COM TV in Japan. I wonder those same networks will air season 2.

I loved S1. I bet S2 will be even better.

I'd like to see the relationship between the two leads developed more. They have the potential to be the best thing since Holo and Lawrence.
Kotoko's propositions were a highlight of the first season. |

I love how much the guy is so pissed off at the fact he fell in love with her.

Ok, this bumps up season 1 into my "short list" for series to watch next as I love Holo and Lawrence and their dynamic. |

Nice!
I don't really care so much or even at all about all the spectre ghost-fighting stuff... I'm strictly here for the love-com! |

I loved how much the series bullied Kotoko in season 1 (even in the intro!), I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with her in season 2.

If they can not drag an arc for a whole season like one I have hope. I love the manga but I had no clue what they were thinking dragging that arc so long. I honestly thought this would have the same Fate as that show about the fake hero, roka?, because slow pacing is almost as deadly as rush jobs. But spirit chronicles also got a sequel so who knows what happened.

Maybe adult males like Kuro find females who look 11 years old spoiler[and are going to forever] like Kotoko to be less than ideal romantic partners for very valid reasons? Even for those for whom slightly older women like Saki, Rikka aren't actually their type in the first place as in the case of Kuro? The first season of this was one of several seinen ones that came out around the same time that oddly paired adult men with females that look like 7th graders. Cop Craft was another. (Yes, in-story Tilarna is a non-human who is slightly older than he is but ... come on.) The worst part is that anime is awash in power fantasies and goofy romcoms featuring 12-17 year old male protagonists who are emotionally and socially stunted because apparently the only females that they have ever so much as had a conversation with are sisters/cousins/next door neighbors. So we finally get anime with adult male protagonists that have romantic relationship experience that someone slightly more mature can enjoy ... and they make the female leads the "underaged taboo" option from a harem visual novel. I guess In/Spectre getting a second season is "fine" because it appears to have been reasonably popular, but I really hope that the trend that it represents doesn't continue. Maybe they were copycats of "Gate" with the protag in his 30s that wound up with a harem of (mostly) loli-looking supernatural girlfriends, but that was a self-referential gag based on the MC being an otaku. In/Spectre and the rest were playing it straight. |

To be fair, it was originally a novel first. The second season should have a bunch of shorter cases though since the manga passed the novel after the ghost idol case. |

From the early reactions, I guess I’m in a minority who finds Kotoko’s sexual harassment of Kuro the least interesting part of this series. I definitely think it’s a decent puzzler series, and I find Kotoko’s flexible approach to the truth to be an interesting variation on that theme.

Kotoko doesn't look like any 11 year old that I know. I get the point you are trying to make, but I believe this show is a poor example of it. For me, Kotoko is presented as a mature and confident woman. Short women deserve love too, no matter how tall their male love interests are. Second season is great news for me. Can't wait. |
