Man, there's something about this trailer that reminded me so much of KyoAni's style. Though that last bit of the trailer really makes me think that everything is not what it seems.

I was thinking that, as well. I think it's the eyes. They have a way of doing irises that makes the colors seem to emerge from the below the surface.

Same, though it very much reminded me of 22/7, which had designs by Horiguchi Yukiko of K-On! fame. Related studios too (22/7 was A-1, this is CloverWorks), but alas it is by a different character designer. The similarity is there though. Original premise, the characters singing as a unit.

I'm glad others got the same KyoAni vibe I did from this. Clover Works has really outdone themselves with this trailer; it's absolutely stunning. And the mystery aspect of the plot has me intrigued already.
