Very pleased to see this agreement; hopefully it will mean a much quicker and more consistent release schedule for CR titles. I am especially pleased to see Bookworm as part of the first set, as I have some non-CR-using friends that I would love to show that one to.

I've been meaning to check out Bookworm for a while, but never got around to it. Now that Sentai's confirmed to be putting it out, this ought to be a good chance to do so!

Still waiting on Laid-Back Camp and Place Further Than the Universe, though.

This might explain why Sentai has licensed very, very few titles this year. I am happy with this agreement and plan to buy Ascendance of a Bookworm and Food Wars Fourth Plate. I hope Sentai also releases Laid-Back Camp, A Place Further Than the Universe, Planet With and other deserving titles.

I don't know whether to be happy or worried with this agreement. On the one hand good to see Sentai get more money their way, but on the other is this a potential start move for a take over?

I guess the third option is the fact AT&T are looking to offload CR, they may be looking at other options for physical releases than using Warner.

I hope this means that there's an increased chance that we'll finally get a western physical release of Gabriel DropOut.

That's a series I've been waiting almost four years now to own, especially for the demon girls, memeable Satanichia and angelic devil Vignette.

What happened to Crunchyroll's home video deal with Viz?

Crunchyroll has gone through Funimation, Discotek, Viz (lol) and now Sentai. Give it a few years and Media Blasters will start shipping out their stuff on DVD-Rs.

I'm surprised Crunchyroll licensed World Trigger. I thought the dub finally getting a release outside of Primo TV was Toei doing something smart, since the show's returning. I should've known better. I do think this improves the chances of that next season getting dubbed. There's even a greater than 0% chance that filler arc could get dubbed.

Hopefully this is the start of a long partnership of bring more physical releases that were just stuck on streaming (or at least longer than the Funi relationship lol).

That'd be great to see. There are a number of other comedies that are just streaming that could use a physical release too, like Aho-Girl, Asobi Asobase, Senyu and Teekyu, that I'd also love to see.

As a disc collector I am very glad Crunchyroll has had home video distribution partners because I hate to see great titles stuck in streaming limbo.

I thought everyone already assumed Crunchyroll already had a de facto partnership to Sentai and they just hadn’t made it like official?

And here I would have thought since they are owned by AT&T Warner they would have gone through there for physical releases, save money on outside deals, unless as I said in a previous post this could be part of the offloading process
