It was continues in the manga. The T.V. series is a small part of the story line, and deserves another series. The PS2 game is really good,it's too bad it will never see the light of day in America.

The T.V. series is very good, despite Puck being removed.Puck is a big part of the story. It was in favor of a stronger relation with Griffith. The First episode was pleasing, then suddenly,we were sent back to the Band of the Hawk introduction.I highly recommend the PS2 game.

No. There was never a second season although there was supposed to be initially. I believe "creative differences" were cited as the reason. I'm not 100% sure though.

Puck is a fairy. He uses Guts's armor like a home.He was removed for the T.V. series. He is the comedy relief.I've been reading the Manga since 1993.It is still on going.Miura seems to make a new chapter, whenever he feels like it.

The T.V. series worked out pretty well, without Puck.He is essential for later scenes though.I guess they couldn't figure out how to remove him from the future material.I am hoping for another series as well.

If you compared the story,to the length of Casca's sword, the hilt is where the T.V series was based.spoiler[Guts isn't even close to Griffth/Femto yet.]

The anime ended at the end with the spoiler[Eclipse, but they never showed how Guts and Casca escaped from the Eclipse, which makes fans confused at the very last part of the episode. ]Unfortunately the anime was not continued, there have been rumors that the series might get a second season when the manga ends, but this has never been confirmed nor announced.

Therefore you will have to read the manga, which has had some characters original to the manga, like Puck the fairy. The manga in itself though was really got them to make the anime in the first place, but because the manga was nowhere near done, they ended the anime where they did, and things just went downhill from there. And there were some pretty important elements missing from the show as well. My suggestion would be to read the manga, because that's the only way that you're going to get anything more out of Berserk.

I love all this discussion on Berserk. I first was introduced to guts with Berserk: Guts Rage, a dreamcast game. I then watched all the series via blockbuster rentals and loved it.

And I just finished watching it again no more than 3 days ago and I am all the sudden wishing for more story. I have kinda been a manga hater because i dont get drawn into the story as well. But even though that is the case I am waiting for my recently purchased Berserk 1-5 to arrive in the mail. Please oh please make a second season, maybe a 3rd.

How many more volumes are going to be written for the manga? We are on 21 i think.

manga#2298
For the two bigger languages it would be 32 for Japanese, 13 for English. I'm surprised they haven't made that much progress in the English volumes.

The Dreamcast game was a good start, there isn't much game in it though. It was made up of a lot of Quick timer events.(QTE) and cut scenes.America got the Dreamcast game, before Dark Horse picked up the manga,so what little story that existed was a little mixed and skipped around.

I highly recommend the Ps2 Beserk. The game really captures the feel of Guts.It picks up a little bit after, where the T.V. series left off.

I gotta say,I love Gatsu's Dragonslayer.It has been replicated in many other games.Built for a king,to slay a dragon,but dragons didn't exist.It is epic when Guts gets a hold of it.The T.V. series says it's 280 lbs.Dude,swings it with one hand.

I must have missed something then. I'll have to check again or I read the page wrong. Excuse my misinformation.

You looked at the right page and you didn't miss anything. The problem is that the ANN entry for the manga releases hasn't been updated for the English release for two years. Whoever was updating it stopped and no one else started. For that reason, I suggest using TRSI or some other e-tailer for finding out what the most recent releases (or release dates) of anything is.

Okay, I just updated that page, so now you can find even when the volumes after volume 21 is going to be released.
