INTEREST: Australia's Classification Board Responds to Senator's Criticism of Anime Content

can I have a TLDR on whether the dude failed or if they complied with his desires? Not caring much either way, but curious.

They're essentially saying the matter will be presented to whatever committee the Government happens to pick for the Classification Regulation review. For when that will result in anything, or whether or not they even pick the the issue for discussion, is anyone's guess.

Hopefully cooler heads prevail and everyone realizes how out of bounds that senator was on this matter...

after getting a whiff of an exploitation movie suggested in the last discussion here about this senator, I can clearly see there is a distinction between reality and fiction blatantly obvious in a cartoon compared to an acted movie. There, the "line" can be really blurred.

Still have plenty of skepticism about anime fetishes but I feel like even at some of its worst in nukige content, it doesn't really compare to what I saw in one movie.

in Australia something being fiction does not differentiate itself from non fiction in regards to content. Context can, like ero manga sensei being about writing porn, therefore some issues need to be discussed in the series. But It just being a fictional show doesnt make a difference. Thus the person being convicted for simpsons porn.
