What did Samuel Vincent (the voice of Edd of Ed Edd n Eddy) respond to this? I am deeply sad to see him go. I gave my condolences to his family.

Ouch. My grandpa passed away from arrest but I can't imagine riding a bike and then having one. I hope his family and friends are holding up okay. |

That's a shame. 46 years young, too. My heart goes out to Sam Vincent and his family.
He will forever be remembered for his anime & TV roles. We miss you Gabe Khouth. |

1. Gobsmacked to hear that Samuel Vincent has a brother. He is Samuel Vincent’s brother!?!?
2. Gobsmacked to hear that said brother has done quite a bit of acting work as well. 3. So sad for Samuel Vincent, who is one of my favorite voice actors. So sad. |

I watch Boys Over Flowers on the regular. Hearing him as Susumu from now one will trigger a little something differ. RIP to him, and love, light, and blessings to his family during this trying time.

Goodnight sweet prince.
Having heard Khouth in Boys Over Flowers, Gundam Seed/00, and other anime, I wonder: Why doesn't Ocean dub as much anime as they used to? What happened to the days when anime came with Canadian accents, eh? |

Saji, sweet Saji.... I enjoyed his performance as Hakumei in Saiunkoku, too.
Both videos from Sam broke my heart. Rest in peace, Gabe. Thoughts are with your family. |

Terrible news. Rest in peace, Gabe.
Of all things, the first role I always think of when I see Gabe's name come up is not voice-acting, but live-action: his brief appearance as Dr. Hastings in 2 episodes of the final season of Fringe. |

They we're likely to have declined to dub anime in Canadain one in favor of recording its Canadian's own's animated cartoons, so there won't be more of a Canadian dubbed anime-like this, also The Oceans are focussing on dubbing some of their own cash cow franchise like MLP. |

Ocean doesn't do MLP. That's Voicebox Productions. Also, once the recession happened, the licensors that survived generally decided it was cheaper to just go non-union with anime dubs, and since Ocean only works with ACTRA-signed players, their business went down the tubes. |

RIP! 46 is way too young to die! Maybe this news will prompt some people to go back and watch more of the stuff that Gabe was in!

Way to cheap out. Everyone deserves a living wage, including anime voice actors. I miss hearing the likes of the Khouth Bros., Brad Swaile, and all them in our anime. There was a certain charm you got from Ocean's dubs that the American studios didn't provide. And it's not just Ocean Studios. Blue Water, too. They weren't the best dub studio in North America but their dub of Ceres: Celestial Legend was hilarious. How many dubs in 2019 contain lines such as, "I told you not to scan that anime character," among other winners? |
