Delta was so bad. I'll pass on this. Frontier was so incredible that I don't think we'll ever get anything that good ever again in the franchise. I remember watching Frontier and Gundam 00 back to back years ago. Good times.

I really don't get all the hate on Delta. I mean the story was nothing spectacular compared to Frontier, but it was decent and the songs were great. Looking forward to this movie and I really hope we will get a new Macross TV series soon.

I could rant for hours about it, but basically it's a massive waste of potential. The 1st half has some great battle set pieces and sets up a ton of cool plot stuff... then the 2nd half does frack-all with that and turns into an excruciatingly slow train wreck while still managing to have a rushed final battle/ending that barely concludes anything. Of course, there are also people who just hate idols (despite idols being part of the franchise since the start). |

Well for me it is because the main heroine was really really lame. She is basically the cliché character type : useless girl that needs to be saved and acts cute... But this type is popular in Japan. On a side note, from the description, it looks like it will be a sequel. I thought it would be a reset... Damn |

Delta already had a recap movie with changes, which apparently actually made it worse. I haven't seen it, I've been anticipating the sequel instead.

It was a dumpster fire. Worse popular combos genres to slap together (idol singers & pretty boy stuff) and make it into a space opera. Combat was barely watchable if unrealistic on scale that shames anything that came before it, including Macross 7. Which was a partial parody/comedy version of Macross story. They must been desperate try put something to get the popular culture to pick up on it and make money.
I hope hell whoever backed this thing doesn't try push more of the same if they try do another entry in the Macross universe. As far i'm concern, Macross franchise ended with Macross Frontier. |

Yea, Hard pass on this
Macross Dumpster fire was the first Macross series I gave up on. I even sat through Macross 7.. nuff said. As for Frontier, I didn't really like that at first either but it did grow on me. |

Dont listen to hater. Macross Deltta are actually a lot better than series with better dogfight scene and more streamline story.
He admit he did not watch movie yet so his opinion invalid! |
