Pre-ordered at GameStop a couple weeks ago. Little did I know it launched the day after a cruise to Cuba. Plan on picking up the pre-order on December 1.

Hoping this game would come for its emulation for Switch, it gonna take a long time to reverse engineering the Switch console into emulator, but i'd love to get this game for emulation though.

Quote: | The Pokémon Company International's official YouTube channel also began streaming a promotional video for the games that features "Pokémon Theme (Gotta Catch'em All)," the original English opening theme song for the first Pokémon television anime series. |
Just a minor correction, but the song playing in that video isn't the "original", it's a cover of the original that was made for the Pokemon: I Choose You movie last year. The title is correct, though.

And that cover happened to be the only good thing to ever come out of that stupid movie. The rest was crap. It was supposed to be a retelling of the first story ark of the Pokémon anime, false advertising at its worst (especially when it has Pokémon from all the eras through the years in that one movie). But, what really killed I Choose You was when Pikachu spoke. I understand it was supposed to illustrate the friendship between Ash and Pikachu, but it was still completely and totally unnecessary, not to mention insulting.

I also recalling litsen to the 1st opening theme of the Pokemon anime dub, but i litsened to the Crotian and Serbian dub on it. (I am from Serbia, but some broadcast of Croatian we're brought up to Serbian through im port)
I honestly think i like the original ones than the remaked one since they have an amazing vibe and vibrant drum.
(sorry for my poor English)

Fans like myself. The reason is because as someone who actually grew up watching the Pokémon TV show and playing the original Game Boy games, I thought it was unnecessary. I also say it's an insult, because those who grew up with the series understood what Pikachu was saying to Ash with its sign language in the original episodes - although Ash himself couldn't (i.e. "Do the Mararena" moment in the Clefairy episode). This is only my opinion.

The I Choose You movie wasn't marketed as a retelling of the entire Kanto arc. It was marketed as a celebration of the Pokemon anniversary about Ash and Pikachu's journey to find Ho-oh set in an AU from the show. It wasn't a perfect movie but most of the Pokemon movies haven't been perfect, but it was an entertaining enough movie in what it set out to accomplish which was about Ash finding Ho-oh. I'm pretty excited for the Let's Go games and I can't wait to play them. I haven't played Pokemon regularly since the original games so I'm excited to get back into the games.

I can see that. Still, I didn't like it at all. Hopefully, The Power of Us will be better.
With that said, Let's Go, Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee! will hopefully be the nostalgia trip I Choose You! should've been.

I grew up with the games and the anime too and hearing some of the negative responses to that just left me confused by the reaction not only by virtue of the fact it happened in a dream sequence but with a number of pokemon in the anime being capable of speech people losing their shit over this just seemed a bit.....irrational.

Okay, so "insulting" was a bit much, but I stand by the opinion that it wasn't really necessary to do that hallucination scene from Ash's perspective. As for the Let's Go games, I'm sure they'll be fantastic. Pokémon games never disappoint.

Started playing Eevee version last night and I admit that it felt really weird to not battle wild Pokémon. You catch Pokémon and that's one way your Pokémon earns XP. Felt like they incorporated that from GO.
Graphics are cute. Gameplay is nice and I like that you can catch starter Pokémon, like Bulbasaur, early on in the game.

If you've played Pokemon Snap and the Stadium games this shouldn't be too awkward.
