Does it have Truxton? Because it could use Truxton.

At least Mark will be happy if that is the case.

Nintendo does it first (as in actually making it themselves not passing the work off to another company), everyone else follows suit. So lemme see... Neo-Geo, Sony PS1, and now a Genesis/Mega Drive "Classic". I only wonder who's next? Does NEC rise from the ashes and give us a TurboGraphx-16 Classic, or maybe Microsoft with an original XBox Classic?
All that said, I'm not against the idea at all. About two weeks ago I lucked into just being able to simply walk into a Walmart and pick up the SNES Classic. So I'm all for this new-ish way of legally preserving the classic gaming of my younger days.

I hope the Sailor Moon Megadrive game will be included, that was quite a solid game not only for said system, but as a game based on a popular anime franchise. I also found out there was a Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water game that was just as interesting and cool looking.

Very doubtful. Although, I was able to hack my SNES classic and added a few of the Sailor Moon game ROMS on to it.

By the way there is a lot of interesting older anime games never being translated or only traslated by fans. All this vintage consoles trend can be way more productive if they just made a proper translation and official release of games such as Sailor Moon Another Story, Patlabor, Bubblegum Crisis, Ah my goddess and full soap opera of lot and lot more games AND NOT YET ANOTHER sonic one, ff7 you can play even on your fridge, mario...

NEC never died out, because it's a giant electronics company. Anyway, Hudson Soft technically owned the rights to the TG-16/PC-Engine, so the creation of a "classic" console would be up to Konami now. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if we get one eventually.

This already exists... It's called an Xbox One, which plays 33 OG Xbox games, better than the original console even, giving it a larger catalog than any of these mini-concoles, technically.

Here's the thing those Mario, Final Fantasy, and Sonic games games are far more popular and we'll known than those other games you mentioned, secondly licensed games tend to not be very good, and third being that they're licensed those games would 10 times out of 10 would never be on these throwback systems let alone translated given their age and difficulty of translating them properly on older systems.

That's probably the best news considering how poorly made the recent release was. Hopefully this has been delayed to be produced with an eye for the quality of the Nintendo's classic systems.
I'm guessing it will be the original genesis design, but I hope we get the second model instead =)
