Jesus Christ, this is already the 2nd Winter bishoujo show I've seen whose anime designs are garbage compared to the original. Looks like Winter 2019 season will be a blast!!
EDIT: Just look at that mermaid who looks like Homura-ripoff. It's just awful.

I understand if you dislike the art, that's fine, but the amount of negativity pouring out of you is extreme. You don't have to be so intensely angry, relax and take some deep breathes.
Also Winter season already has some solid material on the slate, in my opinion at least. Mob Psycho Season 2 and Kakegurui Season 2 are what I'm excited for, maybe neither of those interest you but I'm sure you'll find something to enjoy.

It looks like a cute show and it is rare to see a mermaid themed show that takes place underwater. I have seen several anime about mermaids but all of those shows took place almost entirely on land.

A show about mermaids, huh? Sounds interesting but the art could have been better. Also, I did not know this is a spin-off of Cardfight Vanguard.

I'm still not keen on those weird tails though although the art is still cute overall. Hopefully they are really lively when performing, mermaids would have a better time in choreography and dance moves than idols on land.

I think they wear too many clothes.

Mermaids with human outfits is just eugh. Takes all the fun and mystique away from it.

Kind of agree, but that's really all I expect from Seven Arcs, and that director especially.
They will try to sell it with some blonde tits and call it a day.

It could be their regular clothes have to look a bit "ordinary" so that their idol clothes on-stage look that much better in comparison.
[And I will admit my bias: I do like mermaids in clothes . . . though I concede that most merfolk are not known for their modesty. ]
