That IP better be Star Wars!

I doubt so, The Star Wars franchise (I don't use legalese, thank you very much) is normally off-limits for non-American non-European video game companies. Capcom found out that the hard way when they tried to approach Lucasfilm for that and they were unable to do so, so they had to create Star Gladiator instead. |

That was in the past, and it only got axed because Lucasarts worked on Masters of Teras Kasi at the time and didn't want to pull double work. This time it will be different.

Pretty sure EA or whoever has exclusive rights to Star Wars games these days, unfortunately. Marvel is more likely, but again, would Disney do that? Probably not. Disney seems protective of their IPs these days. I'd guess maybe some kind of Game of Thrones or Walking Dead personally, although it's probably some random game IP. "Prominate IP" is PR speak and it could be some B list video game series. -Stuart Smith |

I've heard that Disney is trying out other companies to give them the rights to the Star Wars games after the controversy of Battlefront II meant that EA's handling of it is pretty damaging. And I don't find any reason to assume they're just playing it safe in saying it's "promenient."

Nice to see that fire emblem did so well for them! Hopefully that means a sequel. I need a game with Roy and Alm as playable characters!

Eh I wouldn't go so far as to call the controversy over the game's loot boxes "damaging" more so a food for thought moment for the industry involving what some people consider to be gambling. As it is though Disney themselves is in no position to complain about people trying to nickel and dime other people https://www.marketwatch.com/story/disney-is-forcing-theaters-to-agree-to-top-secret-terms-in-order-to-show-star-wars-2017-11-01 |

Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite would say otherwise. Square Enix is developing a few Marvel games. I wouldn't be surprised if Koei Tecmo gets their hands on a license as well. |

Would have been nice to see some sales figures for their otome games too.

Honestly, though, a Star Wars themed Warriors game would be awesome. I'm guessing we're not getting Pony Warriors, which would definitely be a guilty pleasure of mine.
Depends on what you mean. From what I'm seeing, Disney is protective in some aspects but not others. They are protective with unproven companies and if the game crosses over with some other company's characters but are very permissive otherwise (which is a very big change from how Disney was in the 90's and 00's). |

I wouldn't be too surprised if they did a Game of Thrones game. Or Lord of the Rings.
Though my dream one? Warhammer. Either AoS or 40k. Or go balls to wall crazy and make a Horus Heresy game in the Warriors style. The Drop Site Massacre would be an epic battle in that format... oh and imagine the final battle on Terra. |
