If Funi/CR does pick this up, it is certainly taking them a long time to announce it while they have already announced other shows to stream.

It seems like licensing for CR/Funi has taken longer than usual this season. They've had several announcements that were a day before, the day of, or after the first episode aired. Licensing can come down to the wire, but it seems more prominent this season for some reason.
I've also been wondering whether they would even license the second season. On the one hand, the discs for the first season just came out last month, so licensing this would help with promotion, and they did include commentaries on the discs, which no longer seems to be standard practice. On the other hand, I have my doubts that Saiki did especially well, and another 24 episodes is a sizable commitment to something that maybe didn't do that well.

If CR does announce it, I wonder if they will go with the full sized weekly episode or the daily shorts? I kind of preferred the shorts version but that would be a hassle to subtitle.

It seems the shows that don't do well are the ones Funimation only releases on DVD and not Blu-Ray.

This season is apparently only full length episodes, I preferred the shorts too.

I would say the weekly episode is easier from a time/money standpoint. Also, because then the audience has longer episodes to watch.
