Still not sure I understand why this is getting a SimulDub. Not only is the original not available through funi but there are alot of episodes. I'm surprised they didn't just dub for physical release.

one week and two days until Clear Card can't wait for it to watch it on Crunchyroll. I mean I haven't Watched Crunchyroll since June 2016

So tempted to watch this whilst playing a game imagining all the terrible edits the 90s Cardcaptors dub would've made. What would Akiho Shinomoto be ridiculously rebranded as? Ashley Sestina? Alexis Stanza? Arianna Shakespeare? Amy Smith?

I have to say that I have watched all of the original series, including the sequels and the OVA, not without some work as it is mostly a cute but airhead project.

Do I understand correctly that this anime/manga has got to become a sort of cult classic just because it was the first major magical girl project? There were countless more anime/manga of the genre after CCS, including some that were much smarter, but they just were not pioneers comparing to CCS, right?

Apparently, there is no such characters in the this new manga/anime. Recentry released Saiyuki Reload Blast anime has also did not include the actress' character, the beloved Lilin, so there was no replacement there either.

This all has made me sad as the actress was amazing; she was an outstanding performer and has hugely contributed to the anime phenomenon.
