Ryan Reynolds as talking Pikachu?...In the words of Green Lantern, "I know, right?"
(Even if we are getting a Detective Pikachu movie for Nintendo corporate-marketing value, I still suspect the flood of "Hollywood names" we've been hearing considered is deliberate snapped-tether Internet-news prank, from assorted cheap-gag wags giggling over the fact that we're getting a Pokemon Movie at all. And if someone happened to be a Deadpool fan, that doesn't help suspicions any.) |

I'm still unsure about seeing this...
But with him as Detective Pikachu I think it's pointing to a tongue in cheek comedy... if the writers didn't say so already... And considering one of the writers once sang the Pokemon Theme song as a couple of his characters for a live stream I still say the movie is in good hands writing wise... It's still the director I'm worried about... |
