Like Rebecca pointed out in the review it is not official yet but from the episode count leak that came out it says it is going to be 24.

So I wasn't the only one that thought the faces and hair seemed... simpler than in previous seasons. Yet at the same time, Souma looks.. a tad older.

Soma was actually suppose to have hair that made him look older after he came back from the stagiaire at the end of season 2 they just did not give it to him in the anime. This season they fixed that. Soma now has the hair he was meant to have.

24 episodes would be perfect to adapt the current arc and the next arc.
If they stop at episode 12 or 13, they'd stop at the middle of an arc.
I had a little difficulties to get in the first episode of this season as I didn't see the OVA that introduced the Elite Ten. Has this OVA been released legally somewhere?

Oh man, what happened to the budget? Those CGI wok tossers looked like ass, and there were so many chibi animations........this show was so enjoyable before because of the energy of the animation, but now it's just distracting how plain everything looks.

oh don't worry about that if this does turn out to be a 24 episode series then you'll definitely see the inclusion of a certain student and witness the birth of a new 'group' that 'should not have ever met'.

These last few episodes have had more of a comfy, feel-goody food brings together type of feeling than I've seen before in Shokugeki outside of the first ED. I blame Megumi, the girl's just too charming. It should make the shift to the doujin cover from the OP even more shocking.
