Don't worry, I had already added it to my wish list at RightStuf lol. Same with She and Her Cat.

@Psycho 101
The second volume is already out. If you don't already have it, I recommend the book Junpei Ito's Cat Diary that the article mentioned. |

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if you only read ONE cat manga, make it What's Michael?, the greatest cat manga in existence. For being made in the early 90s, only the lack of technology (like cell phones and computers) and the presence of those old giant tube TVs (that cats used to love sleeping on) is the indication that it doesn't take place in modern times. It was a cat manga ahead of its time I suppose. Dark Horse should seriously capitalize on modern cat success with taking over the internet and re-print this genius cat manga.
Enjoy a page (it's flipped, this was published during that time). Also, it was translated in part by the late great Toren Smith. |

I reviewed this and vol. 2 even as annoying as the Mom is in some places even that felt realistic as to how some people act around their pets. Yes it's obnoxious but it's realistic I really hope this get an audience as I feel Pet Manga along with child rearing Manga don't get a lot of shine in The West. Kind of like where sports Manga was a few years ago.

I'll make a note to read this. I've seen firsthand how aggressive an old cat can be to a new one (and vice versa).
