Oh wow, Windaria, I've got the old Streamline tape for that, I might pick the DVD up just to see if anything was changed.

(hmm, now that I look at it, seems like ADV is just releaseing the Streamline version. Still, it's going to be a cheap pickup.)

That'd be cool if they came out with more Excel Saga.

Umm...okay, where did that come from?
Anyway...Wedding Peach. That looks nice and fluffy. I look forward to checking it out. The manga was pretty good. And more Slayers...haha...more Slayers....

Lovin' that Abenobashi goodness... it'll help stave off any major AzuDai yearnings...

You...DO realize the Azumanga Daioh movie's only five minutes long, right? Somehow I'm seeing it and Azumanga Web Daioh as Extras on the regular TV series DVDs.

I'm aware. I was talking about the series (although I want the movie and web daioh too, 5 minutes long or not). I agree the Web Daioh and Movie will most likely end up as extras on the disc. I just want the series... hopefully sooner rather than later. With all the cultural references in the series, I'm wondering if they may end up using the ADV-Notes format used on the Excel Saga discs to explain some of the more Japanese-specific humor. It might make the wait for the discs a tad longer, but I think that would definitely be worth it. **Sigh**... guess I'll just have to reread the Azumanga Daioh manga volumes until then...

I asked them about the ADVid Notes at AWA, and they said they were considering it, but that it would be expensive and time-consuming to do. Regardless, whether they used those or not, they said that Azumanga would indeed have cultural liner notes included in some form or fashion (which will likely rule out fears that the Americanization done to the manga will carry over to the anime).
