This still weirds me out. I think it's because I get the distinct impression that the girls are supposed to be more like anthropomorphized horses than demi-humans. And the trailers depict the show as having a lot of elements of idol shows and of "cute-girls-doing-cute-things" shows, so the girls are presented and fetishized in the ways that those kinds of shows do those things. Yet, they're supposed to be horses, not (demi-)humans, so it feels very weird and slightly uncomfortable to me, in a different way than fetishization of girls/women does.
It's like, "Look at these really cute horses having fun and working hard! Aren't they adorable?" O.o |

I'm kind of loving their weird race horse names and the animation looks damn fine, especially in regards to subtle character movements.
Aside from that I'll wait and see. Horse-girl racing sounds like a bizarre series but honestly if they're not too fetishized/objectified it might be a fun, surreal anime. |

I have to say that the new Princess Maker game has really gone to the horses. Joking aside the animation looks good and the designs are adorable so hopefully the series will turn out well.
