Actually, using the Japanese definition of manga meaning "comics" (general term), that statement is a bit redundant. |

The manga design of Superman seems to be based on the new 52 design which is why he looks younger. I'd say everyone looks a bit younger than normal, except for Batman, Cyborg, and Wonder Woman.

This destined to be soulless media ad will probably be better than both current JL(A) Rebirth books. How did DC mess up the core pillar of their line so much? (Trinity is alright, i guess.)
The manga clearly went with the N52 version of the league (all but Batman and maybe Green Lantern were in their 20s) and not the current one, even if the roster is nearly identical. The designs are all based on the Jim Lee ones too. The artist is thus 100% on point, just a few years too late. The current toon films still use that set-up though, somewhat. Here is the Lee´s original Aquaman design to compare:

I've enjoyed the past few issues of Justice League with the Endless and the time loop two-parter. I rather enjoy Batman's team, too. |

I know, right? They're so much more subdued, especially with Wonder Woman! I'm just kidding--it is interesting to see a professional manga artist's take on the designs though. It'll also be interesting to see his take on the writing. |
