Hello.
I've read somewhere lately that Cameron is trying to film the anime 'Gunnm', better known as 'Battle Angel Alita'. I've also read aobut it in the ANN news... Anybody knows any details? greets |

I've already read then Answerman announcements, and some info on other pages... But the information are very vague everywhere... Hope it doesn't turn out to be just a rumour...

Somebody said that Cameron said during Comicon that Alita made his "short list" of future projects during one of his panels, but I don't believe it for a second. Besides, there already is a live-action Alita. It's called Dark Angel, and it's not very good. |

Well, Lord Byronius... I take it into account that it might be just a rumour. Unfortunately I don't have THAT good acces to fresh news.. :(
Probably it was a wrong placed april fools joke... Anyway, as Cassandra said, DArk ANgel and Battle Angel ALita have barely anything in common. The story line behind the Dark Angel series is totally different. This I know for sure 'coz they are screening it here in Poland, and I've also seen a few eps on German TV. Check out the fact, that the Dark ANgel run off from a military base and was a genetically enhanced ultimate soldier prototype (as well as her few buddies), or something like that... But that is not the point... If it is just a rumour, i'm gonna cry... :cry: :sniff: |

That is really pushing it. In that picture they look similiar, but that's it. And Max rarely looks like that in the show.

Those don't even look alike! One has arm length loves, the other elbow pads? One has a tank top, the other a body suit? Where are the similarities? As for the movie, it's bound to happen sometime. Even FOX showed interest in it at one point when they bought the web address http://www.battleangelalita.com/ which they seem to have since let expire. We'll probably hear something for sure by the end of the month, just a hunch. Emerje |
