Please don't suck.
And an easy way to be sure it won't: Just let Imagawa do it again

I hope that it will be an anime adaption not a CG one. Too bad that it doesn't seem to have anything to do with Shin Mazinger.

I think Imagawa gets one crack at each franchise, no more than that. Sadly.

It will be... CG animated, I guess?
I don't know. Maybe we should just wait until there's more info on the production stafff.

*Cries for Edition Great/Great-Hen never existing*
No, I'm still not over it.
Either way, I hope this is good, I adore Mazinger.

Well every adaptation, even as recent as the 2011 OVA, have been key-animated. Super Robot shows would be harder to do in CG as it means more stages of animation, which means more complex 3D models. It may be CG, but it has a far lower chance than being so then the new FMP for example. I don't know if Toei increases the odds or not, they are not known for top of the line animation, but they also don't seem big on CG for the most part.

sure Toei doesn't do good animation on the series(i bet cause they do more than 5-6 anime at the same time including other projects like Digimon movies, etc, so the stuff is spread all over the place), but when it comes to movies the animation-art-visuals are top quality. if Toei doesn't drop the number of the anime they do, their quality will never increase. but unfortunately Toei prefers quantity over quality
