at least its more or less a relief that this manga's ending seems like its not going down the same sad road as its anime version which is more or less not only predictable, its totally incomplete since it didn't answer any of the questions at all.

That was a boring manga IMO. It lacked certain elements to make it very interesting while still moderately entertaining it felt a bit shallow.

Why people defend this manga so much? When there are talks about why it´s better than its anime adaptation, every defender that says it´s great doesn´t say why. No argument, they just say it´s the best. Yet there are people who say that the manga it´s actually a poorly written, try-hard edgy shonen. Which is the defense with the manga actually?

Well, I watched both seasons of the anime and I am currently reading the manga. I know a lot of people hated on the anime, but I think it's good as sort of an abridged version of the manga. The manga goes a bit further and deeper; answering some questions the anime didn't address. So personally, i like both.

Ok but what does bring to the table thematically, or in the writing department? What makes it above average? Or is still a poorly written edgy shonen? If it doesn´t bring anything new, any people´s defense is invalid.

What the hell? "If it doesn't bring anything new, any people's defense is invalid"??
I personally really enjoyed reading the manga and don't feel the need to detail why and give a list of its quality or defaults.
As one of the most sold mangas in Japan (and lots of number countries), I'm sure I'm not the only one who likes it.
I don't know if the manga brings anything new, but I never read before about a special police unit using powerful body members of ghouls to convert them into strong weapons to kill other ghouls. I'd say that is kinda new.
Why don't you read it yourself to make your own opinion and tell us if it brings anything new?

Not to be That Guy, but Tokyo Ghoul isn't a shounen manga. It's very much a seinen manga.
