Will he have his wife star as one of the biggest Mary Sues ever as she has everything noteworthy focus on her as a beloved cast of game characters are ignored, nerfed, and/or killed off in lame ways? Because if so, oh boy, can't wait!

I admit I haven't played any of the MH games (played Freedom Wars and God Eater 1 but yet to play Monster Hunter proper) so I'm not sure how noteworthy its cast of characters is but after the butchering of just about everything RE fans loved of the games I shudder to think Anderson has his eyes targeted at another beloved game franchise. The only worse video game movie I've ever seen than the RE movies (well, not counting 1 as it is just meh since Alice isn't OP beyond belief until 2 and beyond and none of the game characters are there to be given the middle finger) is Silent Hill Revelation and that's not saying much since I consider SH Revelation to be the worst adaptation of all time (yes, worse than Batman & Robin, Dragonball Evolution, etc.).

Well Monster Hunter kind of takes a Darksouls approach to the story telling, you get missions that give you the stakes and a bit of the story but is fairly generic on its own at least for the older titles. The real history and world building comes through the monsters and items themselves.

This is one Video game adaption that could be done very well as a movie adaption but this is absolutely not the team to do it.

Did you see any of the BloodRayne movies? Postal? House of the Dead? Anything basically with the name Uwe Boll on it? Trust me there are far worse things then his RE movies. Not saying they're great, but there is much much worse.

I have a pretty good idea as to how to make this work. How about one or two people in our world just doing their normal things when suddenly a monster or whatever come through a portal with someone battling it. The warrior eventually drives the monster back through the portal and invites the hero and heroine along with him to prevent monsters from coming to our world and causing chaos here.
Another way this could be handled is that it could be done as a parody of bad video game movies. You know, done in the style of "Airplane!" or those old Mel Brooks movies. What do you guys think about that?

Worse in that they butchered something with good characters and stories (okay, RE only so much, but DEFINITELY for Silent Hill). I don't really consider the three you listed that noteworthy as video games so I don't care as much how bad the movies are. I'll consider a movie worse if it squandered something with potential, and the first Silent Hill movie, while having a few issues, did show that these games can be adapted well but it was sadly one of the exceptions to the rule as SH Revelations showed.
